Itay Doodles

These are a few quick doodles i have done for the elements of the Italy image.  I am happy with they way I think the line drawings are going to come out.  the question is how to colour these ones?

Italy Plan

This si my plan of Italy.  I am worried about this one as there is a lot to fit in and a lot happened in Italy but I am struggling with turning some of the experiences and people into images that I can portray to every one through illustration.

Munich Plan

This is my plan of elements to go into my drawing of Munich.  This should be an easy one to do as there is alot of very dramatic and comical experiences to draw fro, which is how I like to work

Austrian Elements

These images I think were incredibly unsuccessful and I did not like the way they have turned out.  The wishy washy colours don't suit the type of drawing and i also think that I stayed too well within the lines.  The images ay have turned out better had I been much more loose with the paint and not kept to the lines.

This images is very striking and I like the light colors, because it is not something i usually use in my art.  I use thick block bright colors this will be a good contrast to my usual style so I think I am going to see how it goes and use water colour for a few drawings.  Branching out and trying different methods is important to do in case they work well and I can broaden my techniques.

My Method

As you can see what I have been doing so far is to read my traveling diaries and look through the photos and selecting certain elements from both to collaborate into a drawing of my experience of the whole country.  I have been selecting a few elements from the many I plan to include in the final images and drawing them larger on a canvas so I am able to explore different techniques to colour the images.  With Prague as you can see in earlier posts I went with loosely putting on block colours of spray paint and drawing round them.  I am now going to try a different method for the drawing of Austria I have done several doodles of elements that I will be testing colouring methods with and I am now going to look for influences on colouring.
